Verify your installation
After you install the snippet, confirm three things: the banner appears, OptSens records the visitor's choice, and non-essential cookies stay blocked until consent. When you set a domain up for the first time, the guided onboarding verifies this as its final step. After that, you can re-run the check at any time from the dashboard or confirm it manually in a browser.
During onboarding
The guided onboarding ends with a Verify step that offers three methods:
- Auto-detect: visit your site in a new tab and OptSens detects the snippet loading.
- Manual check: OptSens fetches your URL and looks for the snippet.
- I verified it myself: confirm it works and continue.
Completing any of the three marks the step done. You can re-check the installation at any point later from the Integration page.
Run the implementation check
Use the built-in check whenever you need it, for example after changing your site or its tags:
- Sign in at my.optsens.com and open the domain.
- Go to the Integration page.
- Click Check Implementation Status.
The check fetches your site and confirms the OptSens snippet is present in
<head>. When Google Consent Mode v2 is enabled in your Frameworks
settings and the snippet check passes, it also runs a Consent Mode check
and reports whether Consent Mode v2 is compliant, partial or missing.
Each domain can be checked up to 5 times per hour.

| Implemented | The snippet was found and is loading. |
| Error | The snippet was not found, or the site could not be reached. |
| Not checked | No check has run yet. |

Quick manual check
You can also confirm it yourself in a browser:
- Open your site in a private or incognito window to get a fresh first visit.
- The consent banner should appear.
- Open the browser developer tools, go to the Application tab, and confirm only necessary cookies are set before you choose. Analytics and advertising cookies should not be present yet.
- Click Accept all. The blocked scripts and cookies should now load.

You are live
Once the check passes, your banner is active, blocking runs before consent, and every consent decision is recorded. Review your records under Consent records and keep your cookie declaration current with scheduled scans.
