Vendors

Some advertising and analytics frameworks group consent by vendor rather than by category. The Vendors page is where you choose which registered vendors are approved for your domain. It has two tabs: IAB TCF and Google AC.

When you need this page

Vendor selection only applies when the matching framework is enabled for your domain. If a tab shows that the framework is not active, enable it on the Frameworks page first, then return here. The two tabs are independent:

  • IAB TCF vendors come from the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework Global Vendor List. They receive consent through the TC string. See IAB TCF.
  • Google AC vendors come from Google's Additional Consent list of ad technology providers. They receive consent through the Additional Consent string. See Google Additional Consent.

IAB TCF vendor selection requires the Plus plan or higher, and Google AC requires the Pro plan or higher.

Selecting vendors

Search the list by vendor name, then select the vendors you work with. Use Select all or Deselect all to move quickly through the list. The summary cards show how many vendors are selected in each framework. Save your selection from the bar at the bottom.

Only the vendors you select receive a consent signal. Approving every vendor is rarely the right choice. Pick the ones your site actually uses.

Vendor details

IAB TCF vendors can be expanded to show what each one declares:

  • Consent and legitimate-interest purposes
  • Special purposes and features
  • Data categories the vendor collects
  • Whether it uses cookies, the cookie lifetime, and non-cookie storage
  • Links to the vendor's privacy policy and legitimate-interest claim

These come straight from the Global Vendor List. The visitor sees the same disclosures the vendor registered with IAB.

Publisher country

IAB TCF needs a publisher country. This is the country where your site or business is based, encoded into the TC string as the publisher country code. It sits on the IAB TCF tab, pre-filled from your location, and you can change it anytime. A valid TC string requires it.

How vendors relate to cookies

Vendor selection controls framework consent strings. It is separate from the per-cookie categories in your cookie declaration and the per-item categories on the Scripts and cookies page. A vendor can be approved here while its individual cookies remain grouped by category in the declaration.
